  • Project Manager Job Responsibilities:

    Responsible for overseeing the execution of projects from concept and design to planning and scheduling to budgeting and quality control.

    Will communicate directly with contractors, vendors, fabrication, field personnel, detailers, accounting, and management as necessary throughout project completion.

    Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and within the scope.

    Prepare and negotiate change order requests beyond original scope.

    Accountable for risk identification and mitigation.

    Lead and direct the work of other project team members as needed.

    Leadership with affiliated resources (procurement, detailing, engineering, production, shipping and field crews)

    Qualifications/Skills:

    Strong business acumen in project planning and management.

    Excellent verbal, written and organizational skills.

    Excellent time management skills.

    Detail Oriented

    Knowledge of all phases of the building construction process including pre-construction through closeout.

    Extensive experience in cost controls.

    Education and Experience:

    Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Construction Management, or the equivalent of industry experience.

    Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in the construction industry.

    Construction software experience is preferred (examples: Procore, Sage, MS Project, Office Suite).

    Preferred structural steel/metal structure engineering experience.

    Background in Tekla, Bluebeam, MBS Engineering Software, Advance Steel, SDS2 or RISA a major plus.

    Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings (PEMB) experience.

    Experience in Federal and Public Works Projects is a plus.

    Project Engineer Job Responsibilities:

    Take a lead role in overseeing and managing steel construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to industry standards, building codes, and regulatory requirements.

    Provide expert guidance and technical leadership in all aspects of steel construction, including structural analysis, design, and construction methodologies.

    Collaborate closely with the design and engineering teams to develop innovative and cost-effective solutions that meet project objectives and client requirements.

    Conduct thorough structural analysis and calculations to ensure the integrity, safety, and efficiency of steel structures.

    Review and approve detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation for steel construction projects.

    Lead and mentor a team of engineers, providing guidance, support, and fostering professional development.

    Collaborate with architects, contractors, and clients to address complex design challenges, resolve technical issues, and ensure successful project execution.

    Qualifications/Skills:

    Deep knowledge of industry practices, codes, regulations, and standards related to steel construction.

    Proficiency in advanced structural analysis software, computer-aided design (CAD, Tekla, Bluebeam, etc.) tools, and other relevant engineering software.

    Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and mentor a team of engineers.

    Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to develop innovative solutions for challenging construction projects.

    Exceptional communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and clients.

  • Construction Estimator Job Responsibilities:

    Meeting bid deadlines.

    Communicating with potential customers for specifications, project amendments, RFI's, deadlines.

    Familiarizing self with current market conditions for pricing and material lead time.

    Finding potential projects through job leads, cold call, review project listings online.

    Evaluate scopes to determine project needs, specifications, and ability to perform scope.

    Provide budget for potential proposals.

    Provide proposals and breakdowns to customers for bids.

    Utilize take off resources to break down costs and pricing on project.

    Analyze completed project actual costs and performance.

    Utilize in-house software for generating proposals, takeoffs, pricing.

    Analyze current market pricing on metal structure costs (labor and types of labor; equipment; hardware, metal roof and wall panels, decking, structural steel, etc.).

    Analyze customer provided specifications and wage determinations for analyzing and computing project costs.

    Responsible for tracking details and deadlines for multiple projects at a time.

    Communicating project award with team.

    Qualifications/Skills:

    Strong math skills including algebra, geometry, and basic arithmetic.

    Ability to navigate specifications and plans.

    Proficiency in demonstrating proposals and projects.

    Ability to handle multiple assignments at once.

  • Steel Detailer Job Responsibilities:

    Interpret sketches and blueprints to create fabrication and erection drawings for steel construction projects (steel buildings, stairs, canopies, mezzanines, railing, etc.).

    Meet deadlines for submitting project drawings.

    Plan and coordinate details while creating drawings to ensure drawn product can be constructed.

    Assist and coordinate with Project Managers & Coordinators to ensure accurate drawing details and requirements and material and hardware orders are correct and received and/or delivered on schedule.

    Participate in operations meetings to determine schedule deadlines and report on progress for assigned projects.

    Assist Project managers and coordinators to communicate project details with field and shop personnel.

    Upload current drawings to project software Procore and other clouds.

    Assist project manager in creating RFI’s including sketches and descriptions.

    Produce shop drawings & installation details.

    Generate an accurate, well-organized model for each project.

    Generate complete submittal packages for approval and for fabrication.

    Qualifications/Skills:

    Ability to read/interpret design drawings and specs.

    Must be able to work independently using critical thinking.

    Close attention to detail.

    Excellent verbal, written and organizational skills.

    Knowledge of welding/fabrication.

    Able to work well in a group environment and foster a team approach.

    Knowledge and experience in structural steel construction.

    Education and Experience:

    Autocad Drafting
